Commonly Asked Questions

What is Cremation?

Cremation is the process of reducing the body to bone particles and ash through the application of direct flame and intense heat. The organic matter is consumed and the remaining bone fragments are often referred to as “cremated remains”. These cremated remains are carefully placed in to an urn, or other container, for return to the family.

Can I witness the Cremation?

Definitely. In fact, it is becoming a more common practice and we encourage you to do so. You may request a visitation period prior to the cremation where others may find it important to initiate the actual cremation process.

How will I know that I am receiving my pet’s cremated remains?

We have implemented several checks and balances to ensure accuracy every step of the way during the time that your pet is in our care. In addition, a bar code unique identification number accompanies the remains from the time that your pet is received in our care, throughout the cremation process and is included with the cremated remains.

Can toys and blankets or other items be cremated with my pet?

Small items such as a plush toy, card, note or photo may accompany and remain with your pet for the cremation.

Can Cremated Remains be divided?

Yes, they can. This option is frequently requested by families, siblings or co-owners of the pet.
